Terms of use

Published: 12 September 2026. Provider: Kardos Blue Limited. Contact: [email protected].

1. What the app provides

Landlord companion is an iPhone administration and record-keeping tool for landlords. These terms describe use of the app and website alongside applicable Apple licence and purchase terms. They do not override mandatory consumer rights.

The app helps organise information; it is not legal, tax, surveying, safety or professional advice. It does not certify a property, validate the legal effectiveness of a tenancy or signature, or guarantee compliance with changing local requirements. Arrange qualified inspections, obtain advice where needed and verify deadlines independently.

2. Your records and lawful use

You retain your rights in the content you add. You must have authority and a lawful basis to collect, store and use personal or confidential information, and give appropriate privacy information to affected people. Do not import content unlawfully, infringe another person’s rights or use the app for unauthorised surveillance.

You are responsible for checking entered and extracted information, certificate dates, recipients and report contents. A photograph, timestamp, signature or local audit record is not a guarantee that evidence will be accepted in a dispute.

3. Safeguarding confidential information

You are responsible for the secure handling of confidential information you choose to capture, import, store, export or share—including photographs and screenshots, tenancy agreements, financial details, signatures, addresses and backups.

These responsibilities do not transfer to Kardos Blue Limited merely because the information is stored in the app. They also do not excuse us from our own contractual, security, data-protection or other non-excludable legal obligations.

4. Local storage, backups and recovery

Core records are stored on-device. We do not provide remote custodial storage or recovery of your local workspace. Maintain suitable backups before replacing a device, deleting the app or resetting a workspace. Test that a backup can be restored before relying on it.

Password-protected backup is an explicit export option, not a claim that every exported file is encrypted. Lost backup passwords cannot be recovered by the app. Integrity checks are not proof of confidentiality, accuracy or authenticity.

5. Sharing and third-party services

You select Files, iCloud, email or other sharing destinations. Their terms and access controls apply to their copies. Redacted reports can still disclose personal information through addresses, photos and context. Local deletion cannot recall copies already shared.

6. Reminders and availability

Local notifications depend on permissions, device settings and operating-system behaviour. Do not use them as the only safeguard for a legal or safety deadline. No emergency response, uninterrupted availability or absolute security is promised.

7. Purchases and changes

Where offered through the App Store, the listing and Apple purchase flow state price, availability and applicable purchase conditions. Apple handles purchases and applicable refund requests. This website does not take payments or promise a subscription, lifetime service or future feature.

Features may change with releases. We will provide notices where required and will not use updated terms to remove accrued statutory rights.

8. Our responsibilities and your rights

We remain responsible for providing the app and the stated protections in accordance with applicable law. No wording here excludes liability for fraud, death or personal injury caused by negligence, or any liability or right that cannot lawfully be excluded. Responsibility for other losses is determined by the applicable law and circumstances, not a blanket disclaimer.

9. Support and disputes

Contact [email protected] with a description of the issue and your app/iOS version. Please allow us an opportunity to investigate complaints. Nothing here prevents access to a competent court, regulator or mandatory consumer remedy.

Read the privacy policy and data-safeguarding guide alongside these terms.
